Flee Digital Cam by Hakan Bogazpinar

Possibly taking some inspiration from US spy drones being used over Iraq at this very moment finding….. absolutely NO WMDs, this latest design by Hakan Bogazpinar dubbed “Flee” looks like a lot of fun. This compact dandelion seed (seeds with wings) design houses a digital camera that snaps photos at pre-set intervals making for some great conversation starters on your myspace or facebook account. The pictures are snapped and then bluetoothed to your mobile phone for instant gratification. I can already imagine the photos of all my friends posing in horror as if about to be abducted by anal probing inclined aliens.

Sony Cyber-shot release number two: DSC-H50

Cameras never seem to appear singly, and so alongside the W300 with its gallons of megapixels and elegant titanium looks is this compact, powerful little number.

With 9.1 megapixels and 15 x optical zoom, you should expect some very decent shots. The lens is, as ever with Sony, Carl Zeiss, and there's a nice, clear 3" LCD for playback. Among the features are the Smile Shutter grin-detecting mode, enhanced Face Detection, double anti-blur technology with Super SteadyShot, high(ish) sensitivity ISO of 3200 and the Advanced Sports Shooting mode for lightning fast action shots. Piled on top to provide the whipped cream and cherry is the Bracket Shooting feature which captures three images at different exposure, white balance or colour mode settings, and five built in colour filter effects.

The H50 will be available from early May, price tbc. source

iStick Concept

Designer Alexei Mikhailov was inspired by the iPhone's design, churning out the iStick concept as the perfect mobile convergence device. With such a small screen size, this definitely isn't meant for movie viewing nor photo browsing, but it does visually replicate the iPhone/Touch space within a device the size of a lipstick tube. Interestingly enough, all four surfaces are touch screen sensitive, so it will probably take a while before somebody thinks of a way to harness all four sides effectively. Features include built-in WiFi for convenient iTunes download sessions. Would you buy something shaped like this, or do you prefer to stick to the tried-and-tested iPod Shuffle where portability is concerned?

Lens Accessory makes taking 3D pictures a snap

Have you watched something that breathtaking as a 3D format movie? You know, those amazing special effects that make you sweat. Would you like to feel the same while taking shots with your camera? Just say you do.

The new Loreo 3D lens attachment in a cap is a cool accessory that takes 3D pictures faster than you say "Cheese". This new gadget can be a real discover for photographers all over the world. It is very easy to use and it comprises a matched pair of F11 focusing lenses with a 38mm focal length and a focusing range from 1 meter to infinity.

Though the set up is quite small, the f-stop rates 11, which is just enough for a device with two lens elements that expose the camera's CCD chip to the same image. Plus, the whole result can be viewed with a 3D viewer or on a computer monitor thanks to Loren's 3D software. Know what else? Printing 3D pictures is also possible.

This 3D device is now available for Nikon, Canon EOS and FD, Olympus, Pentax, Minolta MD and AF. It will possibly also work on Sony Alpha models as well.

Comparing its price of 55.95 USD to the emotions you are going to get using this lenses.

Sony wind-up camera

Nowadays the global warming and pollution are in a devastating progress. That is why it is in vogue today getting all kinds of the so-called "green" things. Do you want to help save the planet, then the new Tokyo fair highlighted wind-up Sony camera is just the perfect "green" product.

This amazing gadget is based on the manual charge up before every single use so there is no need to plug the camera in or to change batteries when the power runes out.

The camera ends with a green ring. That green ring is the device you will have to spin either by your finger, by running it across the table for 15 seconds, or across the wall or even rubbing it against your head.

It looks like a big, plastic toy that stands in a planter-shaped base and transfers images to your computer. Though you won't know how good your photo will be, because there is no LCD screen, however it sends all the images to the computer screen. This Eco product is a small but still a step in saving the Earth.

Sony Ericsson Plays Nice With Thumb Drives

You know, industrial designers seem to love conceptualizing what future Sony Ericsson mobiles will look like. Designer Vincent Palicki is just one of many but his design actually looks like it could be made today and fit right in with the SE family.

It’s a slim candy bar style phone complete with a big screen, standard SE key layout but touched up with stainless steel buttons. Yes it’ll do music, movies, text, email, blah blah and blah so where’s the innovation here? It would be the full size USB port, perfect for any thumb drive. Of course it’s not meant to have a “sore thumb” sticking out at all times, but it’s a way to transfer files like music, videos, and pictures to and from without the need of a computer.
