This superyacht called Oculus, designed by designer E. Kevin Schopfer. Just see from the shape, this boat looks like a whale, with an open-mouth-like backside and an eye socket. It features 250 feet long, 12-foot ceilings and capable of speeds upwards of 25 knots. Now it is just a concept.

The five ultra opulent staterooms can entertain 12 guests and the open main deck has a main saloon, a cockpit, a nice dining area and 2 separate studio areas. It even has a protected bathing area.

Head out to the blue waters with this green yet versatile boat this summer. It’s not that we haven’t come across any eco boats, but what makes the Kahuna more exceptional is its ability to transform into a tent for resting time. Shaped by Mario Weiss, it targets all those who care to leave the terrestrial shores for some peaceful isolated recreation. Powered by pedaling, the main drive of the Kahuna is the Mirage Drive, a pedal/crank mechanism designed by Hobie Kayaks. An ordinary paddle assists in maneuvering the boat. Once you reach your destination or are simply onshore it’s irresistible—just hit the ground to set a tent over this boat.
For camping, a screen cloth can be mounted between the outriggers to serve as a base for the tent and as a camp bed. Keeping you off the ground, it will ensure the most comforting sleep. No worries about the shore or river bed being wet or even creepy-crawlies getting in!
It even houses a detachable, folding seat for better comfort and for resistance against the leg movement needed by the Mirage Drive.
Crafted out of natural-fiber composite materials, it is light, and with the right resin it can even be biodegradable, when reduced to small pieces.
What could be more fun than flying a kite or riding a Waverunner? Try both at the same time! That’s the basic idea behind the “Nereus” water craft by designer Mathias Koehler. Powered by none other than Mother Nature herself, this water craft can deliver hours of fuel free fun above and below the water. Steering is managed via foot pedals and the diving function is handled vie the hand grips controlling the pivoting fins at the base. Sailing into the wind is a simple as traditional zig zag tacking. The $33 million Wallypower 118 is the boat of my dreams. Its 118 feet are powered by five engines -- 2 diesels for tooting around the marina, and 3 jet turbines, for pirating at over 70 MPH. At top speed it guzzles a liter of fuel per second, which limits the range of its 22 ton fuel tanks to 400 nautical miles (compared to 1,500 nm if you're just putting around with the diesels at 9 knots). I could go on and on about how I want to get one and pirate my life away, but instead I'll just say this: I take back all the mean things I said about the guy that has sex with cars, because I would totally do this boat. Design mash-ups can be so much fun. Take this 1963 Corvette Stingray inspired boat design by Swedish designer Bo Zolland. He takes the split-back window design of the classic American muscle car and fuses it into a watercraft that manages to come off very futuristic and ultra luxurious at the same time. I am not sure of having the backseat passenger’s head just inches away from the exposed motor, but this is just a concept after all. Rumor has it, if you really want one of these made, Zolland will direct you to a Swedish boat manufacturer called “Stand-Craft” that will be glad to carve one out as is. The Earth Race boat is a bio-diesel powered boat that runs on human fat and looks like a highly futuristic vessel you’d expect to see on Star Trek. The inventors of the zero carbon boat intend of breaking the current global speed record, planning to take the boat around the world running purely on fat. It was invented by an enlightened former oil industry engineer from New Zealand who is also an environmentalist. He hopes the project will promote environmental awareness and highlight the fascinating potentials of sustainable resources.
Pete Bethune and two crew members underwent liposuction, gathering a total of 2.5 gallons of excess blubber to power the speed boat. Their fat alone was enough to produce 2 gallons of fuel. He put the lard in motor and says under optimal conditions, the boat could run a successful 9 miles. This boat is built for speed. While most boats ride over waves in rough seas, the Earth Race boat is built to pierce right through them. He plans on taking a 27,600-mile journey across the world, making the entire journey on 100% biodiesel.
