Sony Ericsson has announced a outdoor Bluetooth wireless speaker MS500. The Sony Ericsson MS500 Bluetooth speaker($TBA) with a durable splash proof shell for outdoor using and a handy strap that you can attach it to a bag, or hang from the wrist. Thanks to Bluetooth tech, you can use your phone as a remote to change tracks and increase volume. It features 2 watts power and uses two AA batteries for running up to 5 hours.
The designer of the MS500 Wireless Outdoor Speaker, Leonardo Salzedo comments: "If I had to describe the MS500 speaker in three words, I would use the following; fun, compact and freedom. The word freedom has various meanings, as it refers to the speaker��s lightweight, small, splash proof shell, which enables you to take it with you everywhere and anywhere. No cables allow freedom of movement and a handy strap enables you to hang it from the wrist or attach it to clothing, so you have the ability to stylishly accessorise your life with music."

The iPod Shuffle Bracelet

The bracelet is designed to be worn on your wrist and if streams music via bluetooth to a set of wireless headphones.

The shuffle controls are built into the bracelet allowing you to navigate through your tunes just like on the iPod Shuffle.

It also features a built in rechargeable battery, and as you can see from the photos it can be docked just like an iPod.

This is a great concept, I love the design, and I am sure it wont be long before we see something like this go into production.

SONY Launches 5 New Earphones

Sony has just launched five new sets of earphones which look very spacey comprising of regular in-ear offerings together with wireless Bluetooth options.

The MDR-EX33LP and MDR-EX35LP in-ear headphones are available in 5 and 3 “pearlescent and metallic colours”, respectively.

They sport a 9mm EX driver unit for ‘wide dynamic range and deep bass’ along with a Super Small-sized bud for very wee ears, a cord adjuster for fixing cable length and a cord slider that prevents cord tangling.

The new DR-BT160AS [above], DR-BT160IK and DR-BT14Q are Bluetooth stereo wireless active stereo headphones.

Skullcandy sticks an MP3 player into the side of their headphones

Fancy headphone makers Skullcandy have just unveiled a new set of headphones that come with an embedded portable media player, removing the need for wires of any kind. The portable media player slides into one side of the headphones, and it can be removed so you can change songs sort through your music. It also has a headphone jack, so if you want you can use it with any other set of headphones.

It's a pretty cool design, although I wonder if the convenience of not having to carry a music player would be outweighed by the added bulkiness and the necessity of sliding the PMP out of the headphones every time you wanted to change songs. It's certainly an interesting concept, and with Skullcandy's reputation for high-quality headphones, one that could do pretty well.

Dual Dock for your iPod & iPhone

Check out this neat device that allows you to dock both your iPod & iPhone at once. JVC has just released this device called the NX-PN7. Apsrt from docking more than one apple device at a time, the $149.95 PN7 features an AM/FM radio, alarm clock, timer and an unspecified video out.

The JVC NX-PN7 dock also features two illuminated strips under the devices that can display nine different programmable colors. [JVC]

Klipsch announces Image X5, lower-cost version of ‘world’s smallest headphones’

Our interest was piqued last fall when we first saw the “world’s smallest” Klipsch Image X10 headphones at a trade show in Denver, but we were decidedly less enthusiastic when we saw their $350 price.

Now Klipsch announces the Image X5, a silver version of the great-sounding and comfortable inside-the-ear-canal style earbuds. They’re a little easier to make because they’re slightly longer and 2mm larger in diameter, so the company lowered the price to $250, available later this month.

Take a look at the gallery below and you’ll see the X5 models compared to their pricier brethren. Klipsch says the high frequencies of these new phones sound even better than the X10s, but a bit of bass is sacrificed to make that price lower. These we gotta hear.

Ubanana uCan - Waterproof MP3 Player

Waterproof devices are becoming more common in the recent years, be it phones, portable media players, or any other thing you can think of. With that being said, MP3 players that can resist to water, like the uBanana uCan, are always welcome.

The special feature on the uCan is that owners don’t need to wear “real” headphones, in other words - there are no cords or cables. Basically you just strap it to the back of your head, and you’re good to go. Another interesting detail is the ability to float when it goes underwater, so it becomes easier to find and retrieve it.

The battery can last for 15 hours playing non-stop music, but since it only has 1GB of internal memory, I guess some songs will get repeated.

Priced at $154 and already available for pre-order.

Angled as for general sports use as well as for swimming, the gadget is waterproof down to 3 metres.

An Egg-celent Speaker

For some reason egg shaped objects induce an autonomic “awwww” response in my brain. Yea it’s cute but this Egg is more than meets the eye. ‘Crack’ the shell and two pieces become your satellite speakers while the base acts as a subwoofer. The base also provides a dock for your MP3 player. It recharges via induction and when portability is a must - comes with a cool neoprene jacket. Do want!

Motorola's new line of portable speakers for the summertime

Motorola will be releasing a new line of portable speakers this summer (just in time for festival season - woohoo). The speakers, ROKR EQ3 and ROKR EQ5, are being plugged as ideal musical companions for the summer, holidays and simply going to the park for a day of chillin'.

Both speakers are light in weight and even though you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at the pics, they'll both fit easily into your back pocket.

EQ3 - This mobile music device has a compact foldable design to ensure easy carrying and to provide a convenient way for the speakers to stand upright. Its playback time keeps going for up to 12 hours and will work with a wide variety of music players. The EQ3 also supports FM radio by featuring an extension cable to assist with getting clear reception when connected to devices with FM radio.

EQ5 - This compact wireless speaker allows you to play music and be used as a speakerphone for your calls with echo cancellation and noise reduction. The music will automatically pause when you take/make a call and it's Bluetooth connectivity means there's no need for loose wireage. This ultimately means there's no need to reach for your phone when it rings. A good feature for a lazy day in the sun.
