Audio Globe

Designed to rotate on a 23.4 degree slanted axis like the globe, DORA CD Player grabs your attention with its clever gimmick design. This could have been another drab rectangular gadget, meant to seduce you with textures and colors, but thankfully it isn’t! The CD loads into the back panel, while the speakers are placed in the front. I love the catchy remote that accompanies this player; spin my world right round, like a record…..

Leap 3-D gesture control

Leap Motion has created a new device, called the Leap. It is an 8 cubic feet space in front of your computer, once connected to your computer via USB, it creates a four-cubic-foot virtual workspace. It claims is 200 times more accurate than existing technology and will take gesture controls to the next level. Check out the video!
"Leap can distinguish your individual fingers and track your movements down to a 1/100th of a millimetre"
"For the first time, you can control a computer in three dimensions with your natural hand and finger movements"
The Leap is $70, and a select few can pre-order them now, with the full roll-out coming this winter.

Quick Shelter for Furry Friends

Here is a design that is sure to touch the hearts of most people! Inspired by his own compassion  for abandoned animals, designer Gyeongwan Koo created the design as an effort to give temporary shelter to cats, dogs or even  birds that need it. Simply push the pre-cut U and O shapes, fold, and voila!

Trap That Tail!

My son often questions – how can perfectly wound earphones kept in the pocket, come out so highly tangled! While I’m no good at understanding this logic, however I can offer him this delightful tail! I mean the Line Tail, a cute accessory that can be used as line winder as well as a charm. I’ll take the fox, please.

Rocking-2-Gether Chair

Rocking2Gether Chair

Rocking2Gether Chair
The Rocking-2-Gether Chair designed by Paul Kweton.
"The rocking-2-gether chair (patent pending) is a hybrid between a rocking chair and dog/cat house. This project initially started in 2011, generating digital 3D models. Several 1:8 scale 3D printed models followed, refining the balance and rocking behaviour of the chair. The prototype 2.1 chair is made out of CNC milled birch plywood. The density and amount of the CNC milled "ribs" can be controlled with differently sized wooden spacers (see photographs), ergo controlling the visual connection between the person and his/her pet. The design process and final full scale prototype of the rocking-2-gether chair showcases the successful combination of digital modeling and digital fabrication"
